There are plenty of options to help you pursue your pathway and try different careers while you're still at school or in further education.
Trades Academies are partnerships where secondary school students can access a blend of learning from the school curriculum, industry training, and tertiary provision.
Services Academies are run by schools in partnership with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF). The programme consists of NCEA subjects at school as well as youth life skills and leadership courses run by the NZDF.
Gateway funding enables senior students (years 11-13+) to access structured workplace learning. The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) provides Gateway funding directly to schools.
Youth Guarantee courses offer 16-19 year old students the opportunity to experience educational success and progress to higher level qualifications.
